Outside In is delighted to announce the launch of its new Midlands Hub and a new dedicated digital space where you will be able to see exciting work produced by Outside In artists from the region, in addition to finding out about news and opportunities specific to the Midlands. The planned physical launch of the Midlands Hub was due to take place at Compton Verney Art Gallery & Park at the end of March and had to be postponed due to Covid 19 safety measures. In its place, we are pleased to present this digital version of the launch, with introductions by Outside In founder and director Marc Steene and Compton Verney director Julie Finch, followed by an  opportunity to view elements of the launch exhibition, Signs, online.

Signs sees interventions by six Midlands-based Outside In artists – John Bishop, Corinne, Heather Davison, Jacob Rock, Andy Sargent and Eustace Storrod – responding to work from Compton Verney’s Folk Art Collection. Here you can hear from artists about the work they have created as well as see images of the work in situ within the gallery space.
