‘Delight’ at news Friedrich Nagler exhibition at Hove Museum has been extended

The chair of Brighton and Hove City Council’s Tourism, Equalites, Communities and Culture Committee has spoken of his ‘delight’ at news Friedrich Nagler exhibition at Hove Museum has been extended.

The display, which features many pieces which haven’t been on display to the public before, is part of Insiders/Outsiders, a year-long nationwide arts festival celebrating the enriching contribution of Jewish refugees to British culture, and is the result of a partnership with Outside In.

Councillor Alan Robins said: “The Friedrich Nagler exhibition at Hove Museum and Art Gallery has proved to be a highlight of this year’s programme with the previously unseen work by this little-known Jewish émigré attracting many visitors from all over the country.

“As a result I’m delighted that the exhibition has been extended until 5 November, allowing even more people to discover this fascinating collection.

“If you’ve not managed a visit already I would strongly recommend it. With work from bread carvings to pipework animals there is something to capture everyone’s interest.”
