Our Artist of the Month for August is Bernadette Behan.

Hannah Whitlock, our Artist Development Coordinator recently met Bernadette on an Artist Support Day in Leeds with Arts in Mind. Hannah was blown away by her photography and her unusual techniques to produce pictures. 

Bernadette uses found objects to create her abstract photographs, experimenting with light to give them a more mysterious and precious quality. She says: "I love finding the beauty and distinctiveness in the seemingly worthless, ordinary, decaying and torn".
