"I wanted to paint something that represents the Tri Services and to use diversity, and to add a bit of comedy, so I painted the servicemen and women as caricatures. I have given the painting a winter theme with the caricatures in their winter dress order. Being a veteran I also wanted to give the painting a military presence and to use the Tri service with the Tri colours, I try my hardest to get the uniforms right and do a lot of research before I start the initial drawing. I enjoy painting military art and caricatures and to make people smile when they see my finished paintings".
