Seminal began with the red shape that grew into a teardrop. I worked intuitively and followed my urges, no matter how strange the drawing appeared.
When I look at it I feel drawn to the ‘light bulbs’ which appear to be creating darkness. It expresses something in me that verbal language does not have words for and I hope viewers will sense that and feel the strange comfort that I feel when I look at it. I enjoyed the technical aspects of blending and sharpening; coloured pencils and paper are one of my favourite mediums because I can take them with me everywhere to work on them.
