From the artist:
A large scale ink drawing on paper, created during an artist residency in Shanghai. it investigates the impact of humanity on the natural landscape, the age of the anthropocene. This piece was created using the artists unique and original, meticulous dry brushing technique with indian ink. Inspired by living in Shanghai, a city which seems to embody a clash between humanity and nature, a city which is growing, changing and morphing itself into a modern metropolis incredibly rapidly. It was drawn from memory and investigates how a place can be constantly in flux, and how it exists in ones mind after a journey.
